The latest Canadian Press-Harris/Decima survey asked about a proposed new rule that would make visors mandatory for incoming NHL players
Four in five agree with this new proposed rule to make visors mandatory for all new players entering the league. Nationally, 52% strongly agree with the new proposed rule, while 28% somewhat agree. Less than one in ten (8%) disagree with the proposed rule.
Interestingly, avid fans of NHL hockey (about 20% of the sample) are most likely to agree with the proposed rule. Fully 90% of avid fans agree with the rule, including 72% who strongly agree with the rule. Additionally, 87% of occasional followers of NHL hockey agree with the proposed rule.
Each week, Harris/Decima interviews just over 1000 Canadians through teleVox, the company’s national telephone omnibus survey. The most recent data were gathered between June 6 and June 9, 2013 for 1,005 completes. A sample of the same size has a margin of error of 3.1%, 19 times out of 20.
